Junior Run Club

I started coaching kids when I was a junior myself, just I was coaching tennis back then instead of running. I loved the playfulness, honesty, and joy they brought to sessions. 

In February 2024 Junior Run Club launched following a parents request to coach her daughter. I was excited, as was the kid. And I promised I would help look for others her age to run with. 

Fast forward to just over a year later and we now host 6x Junior Run Club sessions a week. 

We keep the groups small to ensure we are creating rapport with each junior, and cap the sessions at 30 mins to promote quality running and development without unnecessary fatigue. 

In the absence of stopwatches and split times, we focus on freedom and fun, no matter the age. Providing kids and teens a safe space to connect with each other and the coach. In return, we have seen our juniors accelerate in school sports days and build their confidence throughout various elements of their life. 

Much like everything we do at InnerFight the purpose is to help people get better at life. And I believe that nurturing children in a fun, friendly and active sporting environment simply complements this vision. From life chats to running chats, each week our juniors are getting better at life through running.
